President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, accompanied by Political Adviser Dr. Carol Zouein, visited Saudi Ambassador Walid Al-Bukhari. They discussed the latest developments on the local and regional fronts.
Makhzoumi noted that the meeting addressed the results of the parliamentary elections, which represented a victory for the principle of the state over that of a state within a state. The results also proved that no political group can henceforth monopolize decision-making, pursue foreign agendas, obstruct the work of state institutions, undermine them, or strip them of their role.
Makhzoumi pointed out that the difficult economic, social, and living conditions Lebanon is currently experiencing, along with the fuel, bread, and electricity crises, require unified efforts, putting the interests of the Lebanese people above all else, and working to find urgent and fundamental solutions. These solutions, he stressed, must be achieved by developing and implementing economic, development, and recovery programs that set the reform process in motion and steer Lebanon toward safety and stability.
