President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, accompanied by Political Adviser Carol Zouein, visited Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rai at the Patriarchal See in Bkerke. They discussed the general situation in Lebanon.

Following the meeting, Makhzoumi reiterated the need to elect a President of the Republic as soon as possible and to respect the constitutional deadlines. He stated that all parties must participate in the presidential election and, if they have another candidate, they should nominate that candidate rather than waste time casting blank ballots.

Makhzoumi assured His Beatitude that he would spare no effort in working with everyone committed to electing a sovereign president capable of leading Lebanon toward recovery, in order to accelerate the electoral process and set the country on the path to salvation.
