President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, received Australian Ambassador to Lebanon Andrew Barnes at his office in downtown Beirut, in the presence of Political Adviser Carol Zouein. The ambassador was accompanied by Maya Al-Hajj, the embassy’s Political Affairs Officer. The meeting addressed the general situation in Lebanon and the region.

Makhzoumi stressed the importance of bilateral relations between Lebanon and Australia and discussed with the ambassador ways to strengthen them. He added that the discussions also covered the situation of the Lebanese community in Australia, highlighting the significant role expatriates play in supporting Lebanon and its economy.
