President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, accompanied by Political Adviser Carol Zouein, visited Kataeb Party Leader MP Sami Gemayel at the Kataeb headquarters in Saifi. The two MPs discussed the general situation in the country.

Makhzoumi said that he had discussed the presidential election with Gemayel, adding: “MP Gemayel and I agree on the need to make every effort to bring together the largest possible parliamentary bloc to elect a president capable of leading Lebanon toward salvation, while upholding sovereignty and pursuing reform.”

He continued: “The situation is difficult, and we need the cooperation of all forces capable of exerting pressure to advance reforms, improve the economic situation, and put an end to the ongoing financial deterioration. This will not happen unless we achieve a breakthrough in confronting the ruling political establishment.”

Makhzoumi added that they had also discussed legislative work in Parliament. “We are ready to cooperate with everyone who shares a sovereign and reform-oriented vision aimed at changing the current approach,” he said.

He further stated: “We are also working to pass laws that serve the interests of Lebanese citizens and help ease their burdens amid the unprecedented crisis facing the country.”
