President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, hosted a breakfast at his residence in honor of British Ambassador Dr. Martin Longden and the embassy’s political officer, Kevin Tinch. The meeting was attended by Political Advisor Dr. Carol Zouein and the Mayor of Yahchouch, Karl Zuwain. Discussions focused on the situation in Lebanon and the region.

Makhzoumi underscored the importance of bilateral relations between Lebanon and Britain, thanking the United Kingdom for its efforts to support Lebanon and affirming that it is a partner of the international community in helping the country overcome the ordeal it is going through.

Makhzoumi reiterated the need to expedite the formation of a government of independent figures, noting that the economic, financial, and health conditions continue to deteriorate and that the current situation can no longer be allowed to persist. He commended European countries for their efforts to push for the formation of a government that would assume responsibility for implementing the necessary reforms to rescue the country and secure support from international institutions.
