President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, received British Ambassador Dr. Martin Longden and Deputy Head of Mission Alison King at Beit Al-Bahr, in the presence of Makhzoumi Foundation President Mrs. May Makhzoumi and Political Advisor Dr. Carol Zouein. They discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region.

Following the meeting, Makhzoumi stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Lebanon and the United Kingdom across all fields. He noted that the United Kingdom had always stood by Lebanon, which needed this international support more than ever. He emphasized the importance of exerting pressure to ensure the formation, as soon as possible, of a government made up of genuinely independent figures, from the prime minister to the ministers.

Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Makhzoumi underscored the importance of international cooperation in confronting the virus, which poses a threat to all humanity. He also discussed the Makhzoumi Foundation’s initiative to import COVID-19 vaccines, with the aim of providing free vaccinations to those wishing to receive them. This initiative forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen citizens’ capacities in the healthcare, social, and educational fields, ultimately empowering many young men, young women, and women to secure a better life within Lebanese society.
