President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, received Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon José María Ferré at his office in downtown Beirut. The meeting was attended by Political Adviser Dr. Carol Zouein and Political Bureau member Mr. Tony Habib, while the Ambassador was accompanied by Adviser Estelle Akiki. They discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region.

Following the meeting, Makhzoumi said that the discussion focused on the current situation in Lebanon and the region. He thanked Spain for standing by Lebanon and its people and for supporting the country, particularly during times of crisis.

Makhzoumi emphasized the Mediterranean ties between Lebanon and Spain and the shared interests that bring together Mediterranean countries. He noted that cooperation to improve living conditions and economic and environmental circumstances would contribute to the development of countries across the region.

On another note, Makhzoumi called on friendly and sisterly countries to support Lebanon through all available means. He reiterated the need for a transparent investigation into the Beirut Port explosion, drawing on international expertise.
