The unity and advancement of the Sunni community while preserving civil peace, as well as the need to ensure that the upcoming elections for the Supreme Islamic Sharia Council are transparent and democratic and make the most of the energy and potential of the younger generation, were the main topics I discussed today during my meeting with the Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian.
