President of the National Dialogue Party and MP Fouad Makhzoumi, accompanied by MP Faisal Al-Sayegh, visited Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny. The meeting addressed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, current political developments, the challenges facing the country, and the need to intensify official and development efforts to meet citizens’ needs and strengthen the state’s presence across all regions.

Makhzoumi noted that the meeting addressed several development and public service issues, foremost among them the initiative launched by the Makhzoumi Foundation to complete the solar-powered street lighting project in Bashamoun, followed by Aramoun and Choueifat. The project has a direct impact on enhancing public safety, improving quality of life, and alleviating the burdens caused by electricity outages.

The participants also discussed road paving in these areas and stressed the importance of commencing the works as soon as possible, particularly since the necessary allocations were included in the 2025 and 2026 budgets. These works would help improve infrastructure and meet the needs of local residents.

They also emphasized the importance of continued coordination among all relevant parties to accelerate the implementation of development and public service projects in the public interest and promote balanced development across all regions.
