President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, received Argentine Ambassador Mauricio Alice at his office in downtown Beirut, in the presence of Political Advisor Carol Zouein. They discussed local, regional, and international developments.

Makhzoumi emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between Lebanon and Argentina and the need to strengthen economic cooperation and trade between the two countries. Noting that Argentina is home to one of the largest and most influential Lebanese communities among the Lebanese diaspora worldwide, he reaffirmed the role of Lebanese expatriates in contributing to Lebanon’s rescue from its deepening economic crises.

Makhzoumi also reiterated the need to expedite the election of a sovereign president capable of leading Lebanon toward recovery, and to form a government capable of implementing the necessary reforms to rescue the economy and reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
