President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, hosted a luncheon at his residence in honor of Saudi Ambassador Walid Al-Bukhari, in the presence of Political Adviser Dr. Carol Zouein, several members of MP Makhzoumi’s team, and a gathering of businesspeople.

In his remarks, Makhzoumi welcomed Ambassador Bukhari and thanked him for his efforts to build bridges between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. He affirmed that Saudi Arabia had never ceased to assist and support Lebanon and its people, and that the Kingdom does not interfere in Lebanon’s internal affairs. He added that Saudi Arabia would not abandon Lebanon and would continue to provide support and assistance.

Makhzoumi noted that the Kingdom looks toward Lebanon’s future and considers it part of the development plans being prepared for the Lebanon of tomorrow. He added, “I am confident that change is inevitably coming. The parliamentary elections have brought a new political class to the forefront, and we will not allow the current approach to continue.”

For his part, Ambassador Bukhari thanked Makhzoumi for his hospitality, noting that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s vision for the future and the projects being developed by the Kingdom are intended not only for Saudi Arabia but for the entire Middle East.

He stressed the importance of Lebanon embarking on reforms and holding the presidential election within its constitutional deadline. He concluded by expressing his hope that Lebanon would recover, rise again, and prosper after this difficult ordeal.
