Today, I visited Beirut Governor, Judge Ziad Chebib, to discuss pressing issues facing the capital, foremost among them waste management, and to express my opposition to the proposed incinerator project.

I emphasized the importance of digitizing the administration of Beirut Municipality. I also reiterated the need to implement the law protecting the Beirut forest, as approved by Parliament, and to remove all violations within the forest.

The meeting was attended by our representative on the Municipal Council, Ms. Huda Kasqas.
