President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, received the Apostolic Nuncio to Lebanon, Monsignor Paolo Borgia, and discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region.

Makhzoumi and Monsignor Borgia discussed relations between Lebanon and the Vatican. Makhzoumi emphasized that Lebanon counts on the Vatican’s role and its steadfast commitment to supporting Lebanon and standing by it under all circumstances.

Makhzoumi also stressed the need to make every effort to preserve Lebanon’s security and stability and to work toward electing a President of the Republic as soon as possible.
