President of the National Dialogue Party and MP Fouad Makhzoumi received Khalil Dinguizli  Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), at his office in downtown Beirut, in the presence of Political Advisor Ms. Carol Zouein.

Makhzoumi thanked the EBRD for its continued support for Lebanon since 2017. He and Dinqazli discussed state-owned enterprises, the role of the international community and Europe in reconstruction, as well as the Bank’s activities focused on supporting Lebanon’s private sector and the various financing mechanisms available to it.

Makhzoumi stressed the need to begin implementing the required reforms and measures in this regard, enabling Lebanon to secure assistance and paving the way for attracting investment. He emphasized that donors need sufficient guarantees before providing support and contributing to reconstruction efforts.
