President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, received a delegation from the Beirut Syndicate of Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Merchants and Vendors at his office in downtown Beirut. The meeting was attended by Samer Al-Safah, Director General of the Makhzoumi Foundation. The delegation was headed by Syndicate President Saud Samhoun and included members Mahmoud Omayrat, Mustafa Maghrebi, and Ahmad Shbaro.

The attendees discussed the general state of the fruit and vegetable market, emphasizing the need to ensure that merchants receive their rights and to work toward easing the burdens on both traders and citizens.

MP Makhzoumi affirmed that the market is an essential public facility serving Beirut and its suburbs. He stressed the importance of giving it the necessary attention, particularly amid the economic, financial, and living crises weighing heavily on the country.
