President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, received Russia’s newly appointed ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, at Beit Al-Bahr, in the presence of Political Adviser Dr. Carol Zouein. They discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region.

He reiterated the need to form a government composed of genuinely independent figures as soon as possible.
The discussion also addressed efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and the latest developments concerning vaccines. Makhzoumi briefed the ambassador on the initiative undertaken by the Makhzoumi Foundation to import COVID-19 vaccines at its own expense, with the aim of vaccinating the most vulnerable groups in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health. He emphasized the need for cooperation to overcome the pandemic, which poses a threat to all humanity.
