President of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, condemned the brazen attack on protest sites and the tents of peaceful demonstrators in downtown Beirut. He called on the Ministry of Interior to launch an immediate investigation into the attack.

He urged the security forces and the Lebanese Army to act swiftly to protect protesters across Lebanon and at all protest sites, and to prevent the streets from being dragged into violence and strife instead of dialogue.
